What Is Jym SS8 | The Breakdown | What Compares |Which Should You Try |Warnings And Side Effects | Disclaimer
Time and time again a new fat burner hits the market and becomes everyone’s new favorite. And we take notice! But just because something is trending doesn’t mean it’s worth the price. In this post, we’re covering JYM SS8 Super Shredded 8 Fat Burner and what compares to it!
What Is JYM SS8?
JYM SS8 is a new fat burner from JYM Supplement Science. It can go by a couple names like JYM SS8, SS8 Fat Burner, or its full name Super Shredded 8. It’s aimed to help burn fat through promoting thermogenesis and promote lasting energy. And often it’s described as a multi-stage fat burner. Such that not only is the aim of this fat burner to aid in the initial fat loss process, but also to aid in maintaining your results afterwards. With that, let’s dive into the formula!
Chromium Picolinate Chromax®400mcgAcetyl-L-Carnitine1.5gGreen Tea Extract555mgCaffeine Anhydrous100mgZumXr® Time-Released Caffeine200mgYohimbe4.5mgRauwolscine500mcgCaloriBurn® (Grains of Paradise)40mgL-Tyrosine500mgCapsimax® Cayenne Pepper Extract50mg
Our first ingredient is Chromium Picolinate, this ingredient has mixed feedback from researchers. While there may be some evidence of it aiding in reducing appetite and cravings (1), the research on the impact of chromium in weight loss is questionable. (2) However, this ingredient may be beneficial in improving blood sugar. (3)
Likewise, Acetyl-L-Carnitine doesn’t have significant evidence regarding its benefits for weight loss. However, some research does indicate it may play a role in fatty acid metabolism, energy production, and neuroprotection. (4,5)
Contrastingly, green tea extract has many benefits backed by research. For example, green tea extract is a great source of antioxidants and may aid weight management. (6) While limited research states green tea extract may have positive effects on aerobic capacity. (7) However, the direct relationship between green tea extract and weight loss is not well documented.
Our first stimulant in JYM SS8 is caffeine, which is common across most fat burners.
And caffeine is one of the most well-researched ingredients in dietary supplements too. But JYM SS8 does contain two types of caffeine; caffeine anhydrous and time-released caffeine. So while you may not feel a buzz right away, the amount of caffeine per serving should help sustain your energy throughout the day. As far as weight loss goes, consuming 5-7mg/kg during aerobic exercise may aid your body to increase the utilization of fat as a fuel. (8) Caffeine may also increase appetite suppression and boost performance. (9,10)
The next two ingredients are also related. Where rauwolscine is a diastereoisomer of Yohimbine. Because of this, these ingredients may share some properties like thermogenesis. (11,12)
Grains of Paradise (Aframomum melegueta) is another thermogenic ingredient in this formula. Where grains of paradise may aid in increasing energy expenditure through activation of brown adipose tissue. (13)
L-Tyrosine on the other hand, isn’t particularly associated with weight loss. Instead, research indicates that tyrosine may be beneficial for improving cognitive performance. (14)
And our last ingredient, capsaicin is a major active compound of chili pepper and is recognized for its multiple beneficial properties like as an antioxidant. But, in addition to this, capsaicin may also be a potent thermogenic and increase energy expenditure. (15)
Now that we’ve gone over what’s in JYM SS8, it’s time to discuss what can compare!
Blue Star Blade Fat Burner
First, let’s start with Blade, which features a near fully-disclosed label containing:
CH-19 Sweet Pepper450mgAcetyl-L-Carnitine400mg✔Green Tea Extract300mg✔Caffeine Anhydrous 225mg✔Advantra Z (Citrus aurantium)50mgYohimbine HCl8mg✔XD Delivery Technology61mg
We’ve gone ahead and put check marks with all the ingredients shared between these products. But just because they share an ingredient doesn’t mean they’re at the same dose. Of the four ingredients shared, Blade only has a higher value of caffeine anhydrous (does not include JYM SS8’s extended release caffeine) and Yohimbine.
Overall, we would say Blade is a little more mild compared to JYM SS8. Although it has more sources of stimulants (Caffeine, Yohimbine, Green Tea Extract, and Advantra Z), JYMSS8 has stimulants at high doses. So you’ll probably notice more of an energy boost here, more appetite suppression, and possibly more of a thermogenic effect. However, Blade does contain a blend to increase the bioavailability of Blade. This may help with supporting weight loss despite the lower dosages.

Heat Fat Burner Das Labs
Heat is a fat burner from Das Labs with a unique feature we don’t see often in fat burners. There are actually two formulas for Heat, one for men and one for women. Where, both labels are fully disclosed:
For Men & Women
Chromium (as Chromax, Chromium Picolinate)12mcg✔Chromax100mcg✔Dendrobium (4:1 Extract)200mgCaffeine Anhydrous100mg✔SerinAid (20% Phosphatidylserine)50mgGreen Tea (98% Polyphenols 50% EGCG)50mg✔Theacrine (as TeaCrine)25mgSynephrine HCI25mgBioPerine Black Pepper Extract5mg
Ashwagandha Root (2.5% Withanolides/Alkaloids)50mgMolybdenum (as Molybdenum AAC)500mcgCapsimax Red Pepper Extract30mg✔Uva Ursi125mgDandelion Root125mg
Uva Ursi100mgDandelion Root100mgCapsimax Red Pepper Extract10mg✔
Between Heat and JYMSS8, there are also 4 shared ingredients. In which, JYMSS8 does have higher dosages again. However, we’d say there are pretty unique ingredients in Heat that may make it a better choice for you. For starters, both versions of Heat contain ingredients that support water weight loss (16,17) as well as anti-diabetic ingredients (18,19).
Overall, if you’ve tried the standard types of fat burner and haven’t found that works for you, we would recommend checking one of the Heat fat burners or Heat Hardcore if you need more of an energy boost.
And if you’re not a fan of pills or tablets, Heat Hardcore also comes as a powder!
“I absolutely love this product. It gives me energy and helps me focus throughout the day without any sort of crash.” Customer Feedback: Julia
Asia Black 25 Fat Burner Cloma Pharma
Like the other fat burners, Asia Black also features a fully-disclosed label:
Guarana Seed Extract (22% caffeine)227mgCaffeine Anhydrous200mg✔White Willow Bark Extract (25% salicin)100mgCitrus Aurantium Fruit Extract (30% Synephrine)60mgCayenne Pepper (40,000 Heat Units)40mg✔Ephedra viridis PWD25mgYohimbe Bark Extract (8% Yohimbine)25mg✔Green Tea Extract (95% polyphenols, 45% EGCG)20mg✔Panax Ginseng Root Extract (4% Ginsenosides)20mgGinger Root PWD10mgBladderwrack PWD10mgN-Acetyl-L-Carnitine5mg✔L-Tyrosine5mg✔Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract (10% evodiamine)5mgYerba Mate Leaf PWD5 mgKola Nut Extract (10% caffeine)1mg
Our last comparison for JYM SS8 is Asia Black. Asia Black follows a trend set by the other fat burns in Cloma Pharma’s supplement line. Which contains ingredients to simulate a traditional ECA stack. With 25mg of ephedra (20), this fat burner combined with the other stimulants like caffeine and Citrus Aurantium Extract (21) may have a greater impact for energy and appetite suppression. Plus, the addition of 25mg of Yohimbe Bark Extract with Cayenne Pepper will help promote an intense thermogenic effect.
So when it comes to JYM SS8 and Asia Black, we would recommend trying Asia Black if you prefer a fat burner with more of an immediate increase in energy or if you have tried other fat burners without any luck.
“Another reorder, totally ideal for series workouts – again impressive product and brilliant service!” Customer Feedback: Kelvin
So Which Should You Try?
Blade is a great option for individuals with a low-moderate tolerance to stimulants. So, if you’re used to taking 300mg+ of caffeine or other stimulants (~3 cups of coffee) this may not feel like the most effective fat burner in the energy department. But, Blade still has a great blend for appetite suppression and thermogenesis.
Heat contains ingredients common in diuretics, so if you tend to hold more water weight than actual fat mass, this may be a better option for you. Stimulant-wise, this is again a better fat burner for individuals with a lower tolerance. But, if you happen to have a high tolerance, you may find Heat Hardcore more beneficial.
Finally, Asia Black is a good well rounded fat burner. We wouldn’t say the stimulant complex is great for heavy stimulant users with a high tolerance. However, this fat burner may be too intense for individuals with a low tolerance.
This wraps up the end of our comparison and breakdown of JYM SS8. Thank you for reading and if you have any question, need a recommendation, or have a topic you want us to cover in a future blog, let us know HERE!
